Academy of Hope requires COVID-19 vaccination(s) for all employees, contractors and volunteers except for individuals with a religious or medical exemption.

Face Coverings

Non-medical face coverings or face masks are required at all times while in the school building and on the Academy of Hope shuttle bus. You will not be permitted to participate in in-person school activities without a face covering. Consider bringing a back-up face covering with you to school. Academy of Hope will have extra disposable face masks available for anyone who needs one.

Social Distancing

Keep a distance of at least six feet between you and others while at school. Classrooms are set to help you keep this distance. Rooms are limited to no more than twelve people at a time.

The Ward 5 shuttle bus is running at 50% capacity to allow for distancing while riding.

Every other bathroom sink and stall are closed to promote distancing. Other than those with a single stall, bathroom doors will be kept open to reduce touching of door handles.

Hygiene and Cleaning

AoH supports frequent, proper handwashing strategies including washing with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.

Members of the school community are encouraged to bring their own full water bottle. Bottled water is available, but water fountains have been shut down and water coolers are not available. AoH is not serving coffee or tea at this time.

Students sanitize their desks and laptops before returning their devices back to the laptop cart. Disposable gloves are provided and will be required when cleaning surfaces.

Staff members sanitize high touch areas like doorknob and light switches after working with each group of learners.  Each day, janitorial staff disinfect high-touch areas like building entrance door handles, restrooms, and multi-purpose rooms. Each week, the janitorial team conducts intense electrostatic spraying at each site.
