Phlebotomy Technician Training (PTT)

Program

Academy of Hope’s Phlebotomy Technician Training (PTT) program spans 5 months with 200 hours of classroom and lab practice. Students learn blood-drawing procedures, patient care, and equipment maintenance under licensed instructors. Upon completion of theory, skills, and clinical requirements, students are eligible to sit for the NHA exam to become Certified Phlebotomy Technicians (CPT). Classes are offered in fall and winter with day and evening options.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent progress
  • CASAS Reading score 235+
  • CASAS Math score 210+
  • Northstar Digital Literacy score in Basic Computer, Basic Internet, and Basic Email 75%+
  • Onsite advising
  • Pass background check and DC-mandated drug screening
  • Provide health documentation (Covid-19, TB and immunization records)
